Intro to Riding Homeschool Program

This Homeschool Riding program is designed to allow children who have a love of horses and are interested in learning how to ride a chance to see if it is a long term interest for them. The program runs for 3 hours one day per week. Upon arrival the children learn how to retrieve their horse or pony from the pasture, and then groom and tack the horse for riding. Each child will take turns and receive a 10 minute mini private lesson. They will then untack and put their horse away. We will enjoy a picnic lunch( lunch and drink to be provided by parents) together and make a horse inspired craft. This program is perfect for students who have never ridden before or who have had occasional pony rides but have not had formal lessons. Proper riding attire will be required( riding helmet, long pants, boots with a 1 inch heel). We do have helmets to borrow if unable to purchase your own helmet.
